John Brookins was wrongfully convicted for the murder of his friend, Sheila Ginsberg, on December 20th 1990. He has spent almost 27 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, based on false eyewitness testimony, ineffective assistance of counsel, and suspicious forensics. Though he has been robbed of his freedom, Johnny still inspires and influences others, both in and out of prison. He is an artist, a teacher, a yogi, a husband, a prisoner, and an innocent man.
